This is a wonderful Christmas abstract, Tara! This reminds me a lot of the photos one of my friends used to do - light abstracts with neon signs, and he even did 3-D photos with what he liked to call 'light ribbons.' He made a couple light wands (we all called them John's light sabres) with different colored gels on them. He'd set the camera(s) on 'bulb' and wave them around like some kind of Jedi.. It was fun to watch him, and he really got some stunning results. Sadly he passed away in 1999.

There is always something to celebrate, every day of Christmas is one big festivity and it lingers longer, with creations like this to remember it by ... what did Santa get you ? maybe something you always wanted ? perhaps more time with your loved ones ;)) enjoy it and stay warm, while we are sweating it out ; P BB

Lots comes out in zoom: This seems set against a big wire mesh, like a closeup of steel wool! And you have an ornament with a swirl-halo, and another (on the right) with swirls inside it. And all these "energy lines"---zooming all across it, like (ala Rod) effects done for the camera. Vivid hues in the energy-streaks too, and in your letters (though you have them morphing and fading in and out.) A sweet image for the holiday, and again, I hope you and bill had a very sweet season, and I wish you both a blessed New Year, together, and with all the friends you see, and all the places too. And for Mandy too! (Does she celebrate Christmas? Chanukah? The Solstice? Kwanzaa? Are there dog saviors? Maybe she's Eastern Orthodox, and has 'her' Christmas in January. Or maybe she's an atheist. You guys really oughta talk to her about it...) Here's to a wonderful year ahead for all three of you, with lots of love and joy.
