Description
I bought this only because it was incredibly cheap, and indeed when I smelled it I could see why.
It is interesting to me as a perfume collector because it has black liquid which loses it's colour as it leaves the bottle.
The bottle design is excellent, which sort of makes up for the feeble ordinary smell.

Nice post work, dark and mysterious. When I saw the non-fiddled bottle my first impression was Goth meets art deco. From everything I've heard about the lady, she appears to be very sweet. She is involved in several charitable causes and no less than Tony Bennett compared her voice favorably to Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald.

Just read Mark, and really? Tony Bennett (a superb singer) compared Lady Gaga to Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald? I had no idea. I've heard L.Gaga, and she's got a sweet voice, but that good? I'll have to listen again. (I grew up on Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald---my mother had every E.Fitzgerald album ever made. I guess I haven't heard enough Lady Gaga.) (And Brigitte says that LGaga sang duets with Tony Bennett? Wow!) Well, that's not about the image: Zoomed, this thing is a big encrusted crypt of a thing, and the bottle shines in it like a sorcerer, or like one of Macbeth's "weird sisters" (the cranky old witches): Like it's conjuring spirits in the cellar. I love this. You broke up the dark with your usual "colonizations". And you made a lot of fussy intense divisions of that already complex bottle. A fitting treatment for such a lame scent: As if the perfume has a whole other agenda behind closed doors. A fine counterpoint to your bottle series---I love this!

I love the light and shadows and they way your postwork played with the differences. Superb! Thanks for the original ... I got so involved in the angles and planes of this one I had no idea what the thing actually looked like. LOL! Reading all the comments, I guess I need to go listen to Lady Gaga and see what she's all about. I don't follow pop music much, and I always figure someone who is incredibly popular must be saccharine and dull. If Tony Bennett likes her, I suppose she's got merit, though. Thanks for posting this and starting such an interesting conversation!
