Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

A super fiddle but leaves me wanting to see the original!!

I know there is a joke in there somewhere about a ten foot pole but its time for lunch and I am hungry. Times have changed. When I was young the Polish people I knew were up for anything. You did get a great picture out of it though. The silhouette and fiddling make for a terrific image.

Awesome post work on this. I'm guessing it would have been a pretty chilly dip if they fell in.

A funny photo and surprised to see the waves are coming in more of the let than on the right - I guess that the groyne is doing its job!

Lol, Mark. I've walked piers and a few really wide groynes, but this? You'd have to pay me to walk on these! Love how you turned the light flare into these waves rolling off the groynes. Like electrical currents. And the partical-ized water. And the one person balancing himself against all that light---a delightful treatment, Andrea. (And did these lads know you? I mean, they could be going home and saying, "this daft English lady told us to walk into the ocean! On groynes!!!" What did Hamlet say about the English? "There (England) the men are mad as he..." I think it was the Gravedigger, but apparently you Brits had a reputation in Denmark centuries ago, lol.) A blownout eye popper of an image; and another fun treatment from you.

This post working really is most effective, where they are is just right for this scene.

Oh, WELL done! I love the result you got with your postwork. Superb! The three of them are positioned perfectly. Thanks for waiting around, hoping they would fall in. Even though it didn't happen, you get extra credit for having stuck it out! :P
