Description

My last image was meant to capture 'mystery', but I think it conveyed eerie-ness instead So I'm posting a sunnier image... To me, it's like looking through a curtain at the rising sun (and maybe a little 'embryo', for the birth of Christ) I'll be back later. A sweet Christmas to you all Mark (another large one...better zoomed)

Through a looking glass, darkly. Or, is that the planet Jupiter, rotated 90º ccw? Terrific colors and images, Mark, performed in a diaphanous manner, in a beautiful, almost mystical, motif. It kind of suggests looking through the steamed up glass pane of an aquarium, but in red rather than green. I also see the capital of the planet Mongo on a foggy morning, as viewed by Flash Gordon, Dale Arden and Dr Zarkov. Hence, my imagination run amok as I absorb this stellar contribution to Christmas morning, my friend. The down side is that I'm still not receiving any ebots at all. Otherwise, I get email from all other nonRenderosity sources with no problema. I really had to dig for this one. Apparently, the Grinch not only stole my ebots, but sabotaged the system as well. Happy Holidays.

To me,this two last images are like a journey through the night, waiting dawn. I love the symbolism and the subtleties of the message. The vision of the sun through the 'curtain' connects with the idea of the 'embryo' perfectly, to me. As always, Mark, you put together beauty, thoughtfulness and deep themes. A Wonderful choice for this season. Happy Holiday to you:)

Mark, this is one of the most lovely and creative images I've seen for Christmas this season. I personally loved the atmosphere your last image created and think it was anything but eerie. This one however is very sunny and bright, and conveys a message of hope. Have a Merry Christmas.

Great effect, is difficoult to do the correct meaning to this image. It seem to me you have represented the contrast between the usual Christmas things and the blood that on the planet in the some day is versed. An interesting and important consideration !!

My first thought was embryo, but as I looked again, I thought a golden ornament reflecting the branch, all seen through frosted rose glass.

Ohhhhhhh ... wow. The other end of the spectrum, and it's just as gorgeous as the first. They're like night and day, of course (of course! LOL!), but they have the same vibe. The way you've played with "light" on the surface of the circle gives it the feeling of curved glass. The kind behind which my great-grandmother's portrait was framed. This is warm and wonderful, like a tropical day with a breeze. Whatever you've been up to these days ... I love it!

A bright chilly dawn, behind mist-fogged glass; wonders await out there! What a wonderful bit of creation, Mark!
