Mark, I really enjoyed this colorful Christmas Night presentation you share with us this morning. The detailing and special effects are outstanding in full size view and give an almost surreal appearance. Have a happy and blessed Christmas Day and or I hope you had a wonderful Hanukkah.

Night has always so much mystery... The light of the night let your imagination fly and we don't notice some details of what is going around...and it is a challenge to our minds. I love this sky, Mark. It seems that i see the 'Eye of God'. There is much to see in your image. Love it. My best wishes to you and your loved ones. Have a Happy and blessed Holiday day. Thanks for your wishes too.

You have no idea, how much I love this image, Mark - first of all - it's in all my favourite colours I can dream by and secondly - it is as if l am living the dream, wandering about this imaginary surface and all is quite - just like I remember those quite Christmas eves (24th), the time we always celebrated in Germany .. (when I grew up in my beloved Berlin, with an auntie, uncle and my cousin Rosemarie) those were wonderful memories ! thank you for awakening those special times in my life and make them pure escapism, where the Moon is guiding the way ;P hoping you had an enjoyable Christmas among loved ones ... This is gorgeous! I know what it is, of course, but it took a minute for my mind to stop seeing mesas and buttes in Arizona in the moonlight. I thought you'd borrowed one of Mark's (wysiwig) Monument Valley pictures as the basis for your work. But! Finally, my brain righted itself and I saw the lighthouse at Chicago and Lake Michigan. And it's glorious! It's moody, and beautiful, and the colors are to die for. The purples and the reflections are so smooth, so soothing. Beautiful!

Incredibly lovely and atmospheric; to me it feels like all the stories of Bethlehem and the magi following a star, cold and beautiful...you do these so sensitively and with such a sure hand!

OMG, I know this is supposed to represent an homage to Christmas, with what I interpret as a desert in a night scene of the Holy Land, but, in my own elderly curmudgeon pragmatic sci-fi way, I see the surface of another planet, devoid of life as we know it, in a galaxy far, far away, where Christmas may or may not be celebrated. That said, marvelous color, contrast (I was going to include high key in this paean, but that would mean a predominance of light as opposed to dark), details and composition in this quasi abstract manipulation, Mark. And, I liked those birthday dedications to your Helle, who I have had no contact with.

This brings to mind a lunar moonscaper (is that redundant??) and it's simply gorgeous. I don't know how you do these, but holy moly, they just ROCK!!
