A little disorienting - I can't quite tell where it was taken from, though I'd guess it was from a point on a cliff or bridge looking down. Though I can easily imagine it as an underwater scene, with reef & seaweed & the leaf floating on a current...

This is really a fun look at color abstraction, Tara! I see four distinct bands of color all working together here in perfect harmony. Nicely seen and photographed!

It's obviously the side of an elephant, who happens to have really green hair, whose visited by a leaf flying in the sky, who's coming by to tell him he got a phone call. Or else it's an aerial view of a Pacific Island, with a leaf flying overhead, who started its journey in Borneo and is flying across the whole world. I actually do know it's a shot of a river or brook, where the flow is all in one direction because the grasses are all flowing that way (and we can even see some of them under the water, faintly); and it's beautifiul. And your treatment---rendering the greens vividly and the blue darkly (deeply)---really sets off the leaf floating by. The leaf's a gold-lighted visitor, slowly floating to shore to that grass 'reef'. Another beautiful abstract but real photo from you. You work with these few elements with great panache. And the contrast between that lineated green and the water is beautiful. Very delicate work, for a piece so bold and minimalist.

This is might beautiful. I love the texture in this, but my head wants all the time to tilt 90 degrees to the right, in order to find the bottom and so the leaf can find rest on the waves :-) It seems to stand still, just waiting for this image to turn 90 degrees to the left :-)

Well seen, Tara; my vote is water weed on the banks or some rocks with a stream flowing by, leaf riding the current...unless you were up in the space station and this is a shot from up there of planet Earth and the leaf is a satellite around us. I'll stick with water weed. ;)
