Description

Glass sitting atop my bed, captured 12/26/14, early morning, where the light was at its best at that moment. There are more pics snapped at different POVs, from where this came from. Used a brand new drinking glass with a different paint job for this series. I had to work fast during the shoot because of the movement of the sun. Have a nice day.

I find that this orientation of the glass is even more interesting and offers a shade more "SciFi" than the previous ... necks should dig this photographic opportunity !!! WELL DONE !!!

Man, it's rare that I ever get here before Denise! I gotta write fast in case she jumps out of bed and beats me to it...(I'm always quoting her here, anyway, now she'll have to quote me, lol!) The sun here is gorgeous---I mean its imprint, of course, as the sun isn't in the picture. Love the light on the glass, and even moreso its imprints in the shadow and faint lines it leaves on either side. And that starburst in the shadow is wonderful. And btw: How'd you ever get your sheets to be that smooth??? Mine are topographical MAPS by now. (Laundering has brought out their inner geology...) The 2 shots of this series appear as if they're floating above the sheet; I love that. Also you have two long shadows on either side of the glass which kind of frame the glass and shadow. Terrific piece in this series. You picked just the right time of day. (And isn't it awful that the sun 'moves'? I know, WE move---don't wanna piss off Galileo---but it never stays in one place while we're shooting! I've literally sworn at the sun, at dawn---I really have, people have noticed---for not just sitting still. "What, you got a PARTY to get to???" I mutter.) Terrific capture and a real ode to light. (Now, will I beat Denise? Stay in bed, D! Give me my moment in the sun! Here goes, I'm praying....)

You even managed a starburst! How cool is that? And does Mark realize how hard it is to beat him to a comment? And how hard it is to follow him? Anyway, I've been remiss this holiday weekend (it's so nice sleeping whenever I want). This is a real stunner, Harry. Amazing lines and shadows, levitation, and the aforementioned starburst--you rocked the heck out of this one! Well done!
