Description
Qing gave me this Tate Modern gift of a little Christmas house with a grow your own cress garden.
It has already germinated, and reminded me very much of pictures of the Catholic Purgatory!

What a capture, I love the whole mix. But I assume wassailers are still considered, in England, a joyous hard-drinking group of people singing in the streets? At least in the past...(You probably know that the root is "hale" or, earlier, "hail," which is related to our "health"---be healthy, be hale! "Wassail! wassail! all over the town, Our toast it is white and our ale it is brown...") So with all the purgatory here---which I can see---it's a very positive image, of wassailers taking over the whole shebang, with a big boisterous party of health-giving ale and song. That's at least how it looks to me. And your pov makes it like a big sprout-salad uprising, storming the gates and demanding to be eaten! Delightful shot. I really like this!
