This is a shot of the Tor from the mysterious and famous Avalon Marshes on the Somerset Levels. I have retrieved this pic from my archives and it was taken four years ago.

Beautiful photo. I'm well versed in the Tradition of Glostonbury. There is a painting from the 1800s with approximately this view. Thanks to your photo I now have a better grasp of the geography, the hill and the Tor. Looking back to my reading of Tolkien's ring trilogy, I wonder whether he was inspired by these marshes in some of his descriptions. I would appreciate a few more photos from different angles, and from the top of the hill over the surrounding countryside, if possible. It's the next best thing to traveling to the place (which is not possible for me). Thanks again for posting! :-)
