Wow, a great photograph to start with and a really mind-blowing variation; love the POV into the light, and the sun glazing the tracks with shine. Great stuff, Mr C!

Well Harry, in this next hour or so I'm going to go back to where I left off in Dec, and try to go chronologically in a slow effort to catch up. My time is easing a bit, and I can do this more often now, and hopefully I'll make better headway than I've made in the last month. The top shot is another of your sweeping track shots, going into an obliterating light. You've got this genre all to yourself: The sweep into 'light' is powerful, and the tracks, with their light along the rails, seem to be put there just for that purpose. Strong detail on the rocks; and I always like how the surrounding buildings are partly swallowed by that light. We've seen those building-backs many times now, and I always wonder what they look like form the front. The flare on top of the image is beautiful. And even the wooden ties shine. (Ties, right? The wooden bars that are the 'bed' for the tracks?) Then the variation. Whatever filter that is, you make the scene into this creepy crawly eeooooow looking infestation of wormy things taking over the shot. They're beautiful, even if creepy. And the ties become all metal, and they dissolve on the edges. And the buildings, poor things, are passing lights on a fast-moving subway. Wonderful playful variation. It looks like a million electrical currents playing along the ground. Very creative use of filtering. Another fine rr track upload, and another fine series from you.
