Well it's a little late for me to wish you happy new year, but I'll do it anyway---happy new year! This is a splendid image. The deep red light is beautiful with this oriental-looking buddha. And I love that orb in his lap---I don't know if it was part of the statue, or you put it there, but it's beautiful. Something to contemplate in his deep states. Your softening brings out the inward quality. And I can't quite figure out the perspective, I just know I like the angles and the feeling that the wall in back of him is different than we think it is. A glowing, inward image, soaked in inward reds, and a wish of inner peace for the new year. Beautiful work, Claude. (you know the old joke...buddha's wife says, "so you just gonna sit around the HOUSE all day???" This buddha would probably say "the house is inside of you...")
