Description
Captured 12/30/14, early morning, next to a local church.
Pardon my black humor, but, although a one way trip, there are many people who are just dying to get a ride in one of those beauties.
Have a nice day.

It's quite elegant; I think I'll pass on a ride, though, I'm not quite ready for that! Fantastic shot of this beauty, Harry!

Great looking car but white, makes me think, 'must be seen till I'm under'.. Black is the normal way here. Rob

You showcase these long vehicles very well. You have a second sense of where to stand, how high, the distance from it, the proper angle. And in this case, you're capturing a hearse (odd in white, at least for where I live, as hearses are usually black). But your seasoned car-sense---from so many shots of cars---makes us forget it's a hearse: We look at the sheer design and sweep of the thing. From the front, it's sleek and sheer, with those front windows looking so classy and reflective. (It almost reminds me of the light-dark contrasts of sneakers.) From the back, it has real heft and weight; and that "landau bar" (the elongated "s" that always decorates a hearse, and which is derived from carriage days, though I have no idea how or why!) balances the broad white mass of that top. It's another fine capture of a car, giving us more than one view because it's impossible to capture it in just one. And its whiteness makes it stand out from the usual mix of colors of your city. I have to remind myself that this is a hearse...it's beautifully captured, and it stands out from its environs while belonging in them as well. Fine work on a 'deadly' subject. Harry, I'm now at 100 minutes, and I see I did 12 shots, which is more, happily, than 6 per hour. I'll stop now, though; but I'll be back for more soon. I'll fav this---but for all the pics today, not just for this one (next time, I'll try to remember to fav: I was immersed in the commenting, so I forgot). Wonderful work as always, another wonderful journey in your gallery.
