Description

This is Forde Abbey which sits in the Parish of Thorncombe, Dorset but has a postal address of Chard, Somerset. The river Axe runs behind the Abbey and is the border between the two counties. There is quite a lot of historical information surrounding the abbey if you care to look it up. I have presented this in Mono but have the colour version if you wish me to post it. Zoom is best. Have a good day. Jeff.

Outstanding composition & light. I'm thinking that mono was a good choice & would be hard to improve on, but I'd be curious to see it in color...

Quite a posh country cottage. A fantastic capture, it looks great in mono. The bushes take on a stone-like look in black and white.

Great work, like your idea to use a black and white shot instead of colour.. Works very well.. I well here many years ago, nice place. Rob
