This is the colour version of yesterday's post and the sky has been cropped. Several of you requested this version and one asked for the sky to be cropped. Thank you all for your comments and zoom will be best.

A beautiful Abbey, a real old classic coming alive in colour - so much more memorable than B&W, in my opinion ... and what a great thought from 'alanwilliams' to crop the sky - it's perfect now ! - so 'close up & personal' ;)) BB A prosperous, healthy and a safe 'New Year for 2015' and beyond, to you Jeff ! Interesting change. The un-cropped sky immediately put the emphasis on the abbey. This version puts more emphasis on the foreground and the perspective leads the eye to the abbey although the shrubbery still looks like its made of stone. I think the change makes for a better image. Really nice work.
