Description
A different pair of eyeglasses used this time, captured 1/3/15, around 8:15 am, on the top floor of my humble haunt.
This time I used a different surface for these eyeglass shots, which I am not too happy about. The pics came out much too ecru for me. Postwork didn't help that much. Live and learn. Otherwise, more cool shadows as a result of this endeavor. A ZOOM would help immensely. Gotta have fun sometime.
Have a significantly nice day.

Well, you could always turn them B&W if the colour bothers you, or change it in Photoshop altogether. These are amazing shadowshot/refractions/reflections, Harry; I particularly like the bottom one--if you cropped out the surrounding surfaces and left only the glasses and their shadow it would be an stunning abstract, but each of them has their own charm and would be equally engrossing with the same treatment. Maybe mounted and framed and hung as a quartet on your stairwell wall, eh? Fantastic work, Harry!

Very cool captures! I love the long thins lines of the last one stretching to the end of the surface and dropping to the carpet. I agree with Denise. The glasses and shadows make wonderful abstracts! You capture light and shadows beautifully. These are really lovely!

Wow, a comment from Lucinda! Great to see here here! So you did this on the back of a frame, I assume: It's transformed into a mysterious and beautiful background, almost like the sheets you've used prior. As for the ecru---having not seen the actual sight, I can't tell how this compares to that; but for us, the ecru is a deep golden hue which adds a lot of warmth to the shots. I love it. And how creative to use the back of a frame for your 'ground'. It's a terrific collection of angles, with the minimal object, shadow and paper beneath. Yet, as with the others in this series, the overall shots are very rich. I love the way the shadows in 1 elongate and comment on the glasses. (And I love the light-rays from the lenses, on the paper.) Or how the shadows of 2 create an almost new object, like a big smartphone holder or something. Such variety. (I admire how you set these up, when the sun is on the move, forcing you to move quickly when you'd rather take time composing.) Nice light-sweeps too, in the reflections. 3 is awash in saturated yellows, and the bifocal areas are like big Disney cartoon eyes! You also let the right side of the glasses---the ear bars?---jut into the shadow, making contrast. And the last shot ends it really well, because it's this long pair of shadows, and they flow right off the frame and onto the carpeting! Also, we see the glasses face down, with us peering into the lenses, with the ear-handles (sorry, I don't know what they're called!) foreshortened by your pov. This is a terrific collection, Harry: Whatever you went through to get it---which caused you frustration---it came out terrific. I'm loving this series. (I picture you standing there, glasses in hand, counting off the seconds as the sun gets into position; then the sun arrives, and you're rushing around like a maniac, setting up as many configurations as you can, before it flies away. Gotta be frustrating!) Terrific montage, and each one's worthy on their own.
