Description
From the Family, Aizoaceae. native mostly to South Africa. There are many varieties of this plant.
Captured 6/8/12, mid day, on the outskirts of the Walmart parking lot in beautiful Long Beach, California.

Your capture peers down into it, as it cups its way out at us. I love the pov. It's really bold, with those deep yellow stamens coming out of it like little kids clamoring for attention. The highly lit leaves around it really set it off. A big bright blast of a shot, and a flower I don't see much around here, either. You sure caught the contrasts between saturated pinks, yellows and greens. Very vivid capture.
