Description
The Spanish call it Siroco, a strong wind that blows in from North Africa. On days when the wind moves through Monument Valley, bringing with it great clouds of fine sandstone dust, the best you can do is close the windows and settle down with a good book.

We sat through a dust storm outside of Moab. Man, that stuff gets in everywhere! We pulled in the slides on the motorhome, but still ended up vacuuming dust out of window tracks and other odd out-of-the-way nooks and crannies for days. Makes for a great picture, though. This has an ethereal mood.
