Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It has huge potential, as the estate agents say here!

When I read the title, I thought you had taken a pic of the house on the hill behind the Bates Motel, where Norman and his mother resided. Although rather spooky looking, this one looks much more inviting than the one in Psycho. Fine rendering in this image, Maz.

It looks like a good place! We saw those pitched roofs everywhere in Louisiana, but haven't seen them much elsewhere. Interesting!

It looks like a good house to me; just a little dark and empty. Some bright lights in the windows will make a world of difference. Wonderful shot!

It does look spooky with the windows boarded up but it looks to have great potential!

a very fine image of this house. You did it somewhat softly, and with the white trim (of the windows. part of the roof, the long gutter pipes, etc) radiating out of the house's deep shadow. The ground level looks boarded up, and your deep dark atop the shot, as well as in other parts, make this feel like it's emerging out of some deep cavern. It's spooky though also inviting. Fine job in your capture, crop and treatment.
