Description
The hanging lamp over our dining table...
Why do I always ask folks to zoom my photos? Because not only is detail lost when photos are downsized, but more often than not, colors are noticeably distorted as well. If you just don't like the photo at all, that's fine, then move on, my feelings won't be hurt. But if you like it well enough to leave a comment, I strongly urge you to look at it full size - I always do when looking at other people's photos here & the difference is usually significant. So please zoom!

You are correct, this MUST be viewed at ZOOM...It really shows how crisp, clear and detailed this photo is....

Fabulous when zoomed! the colours are very warm! Great capture - if I didn't know better, I'd say that you like music....just sayin'

I almost always zoom out, and this one was well worth it. Very warm, very glowing!!

Gorgeous and welcoming!, and a perfect composition .

I love the way the lamp appears to be on fire and also the warm cozy glow it sheds upon the area. You have captured both beauty and mood. Thanks for sharing. I am not leaving comments on all photos anymore...not because I do not like them (I am very inspired by so much of what I see), but simply because I am trying to keep how much time I spend here under control. All of you in my friends list are there for a reason...because I really admire your work. I hope you know if I do not leave a comment it is because I am trying to control myself a bit. I could spend all day here viewing and commenting. Last year I was actually doing that and I had to quit cold turkey and not even look at all for a while. Now that I am back I really want to prevent myself from getting to that point again. :) Cheers SRG

Well done. I like the composition

SunriseGirl is trying to prevent becoming addicted again. Actually, all she has to do is leave a simple "cool" on each photo and let it go at that. In fact, flavia never types more than three words in any of her comments. In any event, sterling shot of the hanging lamp and environs, especially viewed under zoom conditions. In order for viewers not to miss the intricate detail of my postings, l used to beg and beseech them to zoom in on my efforts, but mostly to no avail, thereby missing out on the best parts. Like shouting into the wind.

Almost Mondrian-like, with the geometric layout of this composition. A remarkably lovely capture; great eye!

I know how hard it is to make art out of your own stuff. This is a fabulous result! You've infused the image with mood, intimacy, and warmth. This makes me want to drop by for a nice cup of tea. :)
