Description

Antoni Gaudi was a Spanish Catalan architect known for his innovative designs. He flourished during the last quarter of the 19th and first quarter of the 20th century. I have mentioned several times how impressed I was with how the wind and rain and snow has sculpted the sandstone of the Southwest into fantastic shapes. My guide Aaron took me to a place off the beaten path, a place few tourists see. Ours were the only footprints in the sand. Each was only a few feet in width but once again I was reminded that Mother Nature is the best architect. This one reminded me of Gaudi’s Sagrada Família Cathedral in Barcelona.

Somehow it reminds me also of an a termite mound. Though termites prefer wood. So I agree with you ..... Mother Nature here has created an exceptional work of art. But I can imagine me that it inside this building a variety of animals live. And ... you seem to Aaron to have a good wire. He probably enjoyed your curiosity very much so he showed you little secrets. Wonderful.

FABULOUS! I absolutely love this. I have a lot of little rocks that have been attacked by the burrowing sponge, I must photograph them and post them to show you the similarity.
