Description
Another shot of objects from around my house. This is a closeup of a piece of brain coral that is a little larger than the average human brain, though I've read that brain coral colonies can grow to 6 feet high. I found it in a strange little store called the Odditorium in Duvall, Washington years ago. It was one of those stores where antiques, junk, art & natural objects like this coexisted in a haphazard, surreal way. Unfortunately, it's not there any more...
Please zoom.

Isn't this what Hawaiians wear around their necks, lei like? Nigh onto white caterpillars in this very cool surreal shot. The only time I get to see brain coral is when I go to the Pacific aquariums around the area.
