Description

A closeup look at a piece of burl. I picked this up at a unique shop called "It's A Burl" in Kerby, Oregon that specializes in burl of all sorts. They create elaborate & fanciful carved works of art & furniture out of burl that sell for hundreds of dollars, but also sell raw scrap pieces that you can fish out barrels for as little as a dollar & that's where this piece came from. There are also unique, multi-story tree houses there that visitors can climb (I've posted photos from there previously). One more version of this photo to follow, radically postworked.
