Description

I posted another of this set some time ago. Mia was only 4 or 5 weeks old when she came to me. She was kidnapped. I did not have any other baby fox at the time, and all of the raccoons were too large to mix with her. She became very attached to me. She was as special to me as my Reese and GIlbert were. I know where she settled, and she is still there after several years. I have gone out twice and watched her with her kits. They are the ones I posted the shots of a while back. I am so honored that she lets me be around her kits. I do not try to get her to come to me, but she does know me and trust me with her kits.

Aw, so beautiful. Sniffing the carving - new odors. Just like my ratties and Kitty. She has such a beautiful fur coat. Attached to you - that's why you have her trust, kits and all. I recall reading in Reader's Digest way back about a man who saved and reared a beaver. That beaver came to the edge of the pond every time the man showed up, for years. It was quite a moving story. So of course they feel, and the more they feel, the longer they remember. Our brains work the same way! Keep up the good work, Bev! I know it takes time, but there are many who are grateful to you for your work and photography! :-)
