Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Very impressive capture! the ocean's fury is something else to experience from a distance. speaking of distance, do you know what that object is in the background? I'm thinking maybe a small watercraft

another terrific splash shot. This one has the rocks being devoured from behind---you caught the moment of impact perfectly. And there's a green "halo" of spray on top of the crashing waves---and nothing but calm waters everywhere else. That's one of the miracles of the sea: That you can get all this action in one spot, and nearly none all around it. Then, the rocks just sit there----this is a very Pacific Coast sight. And you've been communing with your ocean so long, you just know where and when to point and shoot, and you get these shots effortlessly. Kudos for both, a great refreshing addition to your long line of beautiful nature shots.
