Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

The petals seem to burst out in this fine macro of the blushing begonia, by golly.

In my desperate attempt to catch up with everything you've posted since the 1st, it's fitting that i end with this. This is bee-yootiful. Full size, it's almost too much for the eyes. It's a big silken burst, the yellows and whites are sumptuous, and the reds are like someone dipped this beauty in a deep red dye. You presented it to us as a big burst in front of our eyes. And the crop puts it right in our faces, it fills up the whole shot. A beautiful flower capture from someone who's been working with flowers and gardens for years (you), with beautiful light. I'm sorry I fell so far behind, but being able to sit with 13 of your images in one sitting is a thrill. And I'll be looking forward to more shots from the Olympic Peninsula. This shot, however, is beautiful.
