Description
Captured back on 10/3/07, somewhere within the vast perimeter of the neighborhood.
Comes out the same size in ZOOM.
I have tons/tonnes of tree bark photos going back to 2005, some sharp, some not so sharp; so, if you don't mind, be prepared to see many of them.
Have a nice day.

I love the endless variety of shapes and sizes of the crinkly edges on the multiple layers of the bark surface; a person could get lost tracing all of them with the eyes. What a marvelous shot, Harry!

You can post as many tree-bark shots as you wish, they've all been a joy. This one is doused in some deep oranges and rich beiges. The overall hue is a brown beige (what clothiers call "British Khaki," which is darker than the American wheat-hued khaki), and it gives a warm glow to the piece. If part of this is your postwork, kudos. I say that because I know how much you devote to coaxing out the inner shot. And the form is of a big island---it looks like lower Manhattan---moving down through a two-sided river, with land on either side. You picked a very active swath of bark, as it tells a whole story and has a whole visual impact, where the orange swath on the bottom is the "climax". Well chosen and presented. As a series, this is quite a broad collection; amazing also since it's just from one city. Alerts us to the fact that there's a lot of variety in a single locale, if we bother to look...
