Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

WOW, this is such a spectacular shot, Dana, that I first have to post a comment on this one. I came to your gallery, and anyway I'm amazed about the beauties I discover here. Hoping the birth of Jim's granddaughter went well! This photo reminded me of some winters here in Holland, when the cars here down our street(a long hill,) could not drive up, and chaos was born. The farmer had to rid some cars with his tractor. It was a thrills for the kids with their sled. Our driveway was used as a parking then, because we live just downwards that big and long hill.

This would have been a wonderful winter scene if not for the dread cold and snow that winter signifies. I sure hope no one had to endure all that cold and snow out in the open. I have very mixed feelings about winter and snow. (It's summer the whole year round where I stay. :) ) Winter scenes can be such things of wonder and beauty -- but winter can also be a source of pure misery!
