The extra level of fencing makes for some truly fascinating shadows; they must have small animals that they're trying to contain in their yard. Well spotted and a great POV to show us this beauty!

The sun stood still pretty low if you took this photo. The fence creates an interesting shadow game. Super shot!

Another scintillating shadow-pattern-capture from your neighborhood, this one graced with little flourishes of iron on top of a criss cross white fencing. With the sun pouring through it, the flourishes make for little cartoon figures, doing a ballet. The shadows are typically elongated, and they play nicely off the rough patterns of parts of the sidewalk. In looking at this, I think it must be hard to get some of these pattern shots, because you want to get the source and the shadows at the same time, and that can cover quite a bit of real estate for one shot. You got both, as well as chunks of front sidewalk, and hints of a house and garage back there. And the shadow part is 2/3 of the shot, which is in good balance to the more condensed fence itself. More fine formal work from you. (I wonder what house owners think as they see you bent over and concentrating on one little section of their property, and thinking, "what in the world is he LOOKING at???" I bet a bunch of them would be even more surprised to find that you were shooting a corner of their fence, or a twig on their sidewalk, etc. "Crazy artist!" they'd think. Who else would even stop to look?)
