Description

This is a follow on from yesterday's pic and here , if you look to the left, you can see the old thatch under the ladder. This is quite large so zoom should be good for more detail !

It's interesting how they use scaffolding now, they never did when we were kids! A fascinating photo.

"It's interesting how they use scaffolding now, they never did when we were kids!" Health and safety knob heads Andrea. I like this shot Jeffers.

This is something I would love to have a try at, I noted Andrea's comment you would have health and safety shut you down or not be able to get insurance if you didn't use scaffolding on that sort of job,It's also a lot easer to work off of.

What a different this new makes, Jeff. It's a fantastic detailed photo, and I wonder for what that yellow rope is used, which is on the left hung on the scaffolding. Truly an old craft, plus pure craftsmanship.

Well, by now this roof must be almost finished, methinks ? and it would be great to see it totally complete, one day here ... Sorry Jeff, this commenting comes pretty late - but remember we are a long, long way away - LOL BB BTW - you haven't posted for a while either, are you well ? or on holidays and on the trip of a lifetime ? I do hope you are OK and I wish you well !

Amazing photography and also so amazing how they thatch roofs. I heard on the news today that there is a new law in our country (UK) that we cannot display any photos of people anywhere if we have not been given permission to take the photo and then to use the photo to exhibit, apparently we can get up to 2 years prison sentence if we have no permission! What is it all coming to????? hugs Jane xx
