Description
Water lilies at the Japanese garden at Shore Acres State Park on the Oregon coast.
After a night of heavy rains & winds (which are continuing at this moment & are forecast to last through Monday), my wife & I discovered that a large pine tree had fallen in our yard near the garage & that water was gushing from a large crack in our garage floor (which I suspect had widened significantly from the impact of the tree falling). Being unable to do anything about it immediately, we headed into town, but were forced to turn back after less than 5 miles due to heavy flooding on the road. Water is gushing everywhere! On the bright side, since I'm stuck at home, I can post a couple more photos & catch up on browsing the galleries...
Please zoom.

Absolutely gorgeous shot.

This is so pretty! I love the way these are growing in little clusters. Beautiful shot, and stay dry. I hear the flooding is only going to get worse in the next couple of days.

Beautiful capture hope all the flooding gets secured

Holy cow! I hope it isn't a broken pipe ... that could be a big project. (Do you have plumbing to the garage? I can't remember.) Terrific picture! I like the separate mats of lily pads. Beautiful image.

Interesting how these lilies have grouped in little clusters. I sure hope you have no further problems due to flooding and bad weather. Good luck

Awesome capture and sorry to hear about the flooding but at least it is just in the garage, not in the house, right...:)))

a painterly treatment, the reflections seem--esp in the upper half---like oil paint strokes. (When you look closely at Monet's Water Lily paintings, you'll see those bold strokes in muted hues, beneath the lily pads. They turn ephemeral reflections into visceral thick oil. Your upper reflections have that feel here.) And a nice angle, and strong greens and yellows and purples on the floating pads. Like they're floating in air. I see a flower or two too. Beautiful.

I really like this photo... the reflections and depth are captured well and serve as a good example for 3 D creations within Renderosity. Digital images and lighting can be challenging, even with expensive equipment, but for pure enjoyment I think you have an excellent image. Thank you for your recent positive comment for my post, although I consider it somewhat disappointing (to me) and nowhere near the caliber of this one. I am pleased to have found another favorite among so many beautiful offerings. Kenn

Beautiful how they clustered the water lilies! Mother Nature is so beautiful but can do so much damage in so little time!
