Description
Well, further to my previous post, I was up at a quarter past sparrow fart this morning and set off in search of Tailspin and the girls. The locator beacon worked a treat and I found the H8K 'Emily' flying boat drifting on Coniston Water in the Lake District. Tailspin got into the air in double quick time and I lead the way back to The Duckpond, above you see them touching down at 08:37 this morning. Having tied up to the jetty, Tailspin left the girls unloading their shopping.....about three quarters of a ton of shopping....and headed for my office. He was babbling something about " Paso Robles and a Google street scene car '..... Anyway, after a quick once over and a good wash, the H8K 'Emily' will be off to ShareCG later this morning. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an aircraft to tow to the paintshop and then I'm off to the Construction Hall to see what we're building today, it's all go.....I may report further, later tonight, if I have the energy......otherwise, I'll see you tomorrow.....

Ah, beautiful splash, splash! What a beauty of a plane this is! So NOW we know why Tailspin was "off course" - the ladies 3/4 tonnes of shopping and he was being a gentleman about helping them! Clothing? Food? 10 years worth of cosmetics? Or was it paint, tools, machinery and other Plant oriented hardware? And to think of it, no customs to pay! Particularly if flying over the heads of the customs officers. Anyone care to drop them an egg from 10,000 feet? (Ouch! Bet that hurts!). Don't stress yourself out, Neil. There's a day tomorrow, too. Keep up the good work! :-) Is that you in the little yellow "egg beater"? Cool (except when it rains!).

Great render

Great image! Glad you found them and got them home. If Tailspin put his faith in a Google Map it's no wonder he got lost. My brother had to get on their site and correct the whole road where he lives and I'm going to have to do the same for here. They currently have this address about 4 miles south and listed as a business that never was here. GEEEZE!

Well, I guess this explains why the Google car that I saw yesterday on Spring Street had a severely bent camera mast. I probably wouldn't have noticed it except the driver caught my attention. He had a very anxious look on his face and was craning his neck and wildly looking every which way up into the sky like he was expecting some aerial attack any second to come out of nowhere. Bet he'll never forget that one! Nice one, Tailspin!

Ah! This explains it.. You let he go off with girls and let THEM loose in America! NO wonder! You could have lost this aircraft for ages, the range is very impressive.. VERY COOL!!!!! Rob
