Wow Harry, those shadows really turned out great on this one.

Hey Harry, I can't leave many comments right now, I'll return soon; but I wanted to leave at least a few, and because people seem to be very slow getting out today and yesterday, and this deserves more than one comment (which is what's present, as I write this). This is another of your shadow studies that's all about texture and line, light and shadow; and I like it a lot. It's a fascinating set of stairs (stairs?) because it seems hoisted above the ground, and the steps are very broad. But the pink, with all that texture and decay, makes a fine 'canvas' for the shadows. We're looking down from the gate, I assume; and these steps go 'up' from the gate---it's most unusual. In any case, a lovely study of texture and hue (I really like that flesh-pink hue) with shadows doing their thing. With your eye for these types of things, captures will be present wherever you go. I still haven't done much good shadow work, it's yet another subject of yours that eludes my camera-eye. But you've covered the gamut here. Very sweet shot, in that early morning southern light you capture so well...

What a wonderful set of shadows; they remind me of a line of stick men looking through a fence (round heads, long skinny bodies), like a jury of our peers maybe. There must be a lot of great fencing in your part of town, you manage to find the most awesome shadows!
