Description

Success, she's finished....... I took the controls and with DVK as co-pilot and Stan as flight engineer we took the B-29 for her shake down flight. To keep Tailspin out of our hair I sent him to make sure all the flight reports and paperwork were in order. This proved to be a bad move.......Tailspin discovered that, during his ' trip ' to America and my eagerness to get cracking on the B-29....we'd never given the Manshu Ki-98 ( one of the Japanese X- craft ) it's test flight. Well, the paperwork can't be in order before a test flight and so he was soon hot on our heels. I nearly had kittens when that thing flashed by.....setting the bomber on auto pilot, I grabbed DVK and we headed back to man the defences. However, after a couple of passes, our attacker departed and we completed the flight without further incident. When we got back, Tailspin was rather upset.....it seems he'd overlooked the fact that the Ki-98 didn't have any ammunition onboard before he took off....... I'll assume he was joking, I mean....he wasn't seriously trying to shoot us down......?? A couple of little details to take care of and then I'll let Tailspin ferry this over to ShareCG......that should cheer him up.....till next time.

The B-29 looks great, and so does the Ki-98. Tailspin is just an "excitable" guy, act on impulse, think about it later? Nice work, Neil.

Your fault? No, his fault! Very nice looking B-29. I'm wondering about the color - I have an old impression they were metal/silver colored. But here it's a shiny gray. The Neiwil air force colors? Nice work with the exhaust soot behind the engine cowlings. And I can even see you in the cockpit! Cool! The Ki98 looks cool, the camouflage job is interesting, particularly against this background. Good thing it wasn't armed, but seems that you were! What background have you used? It's SO tempting to think you took off from the air field in the background image. Keep up the good work! I'll be looking forward to seeing it a cgshare (is Tailspin doesn't crash it on the way!). :-)
