Description
Well, DVK has departed, I got up early and delivered the G4 'Betty' to ShareCG and was back in time to see a helicopter with Russian markings land by the control tower. A stranger stepped out with pistol in hand, after surveying his surroundings, he spotted me and began to advance. The helicopter lifted off and headed East, the strangers wig lifted off and headed West. With a look of disgust, he shot it, holstered his pistol and walked over. He offered his hand and with a broad grin introduced himself....Capt. Peter "Wrongway" Peachfuzz, reporting for duty. I shook his hand and led him to my office to fill in some paperwork.
Capt. Peter "Wrongway" Peachfuzz, former Maj. in the USAF ( submarine section ) Retired. Capt. Peachfuzz served with distinction as a Flight Surgeon and Covert Operations analyst. It was Capt. Peachfuzz who suggested all covert radio communications should be translated into moose calls.....this was a short lived exercise due to a herd of moose turning up at a clandestined meeting after over hearing the co-ordinates. The Spec-Op team, fearing the moose were Russian, opened fire killing 29 and wounding 0, there was then diplomatic uproar as the State Department tried to explain what a U.S Spec-Op's team was doing in Ontario....when they should have been in Odessa. Capt. Peachfuzz was quietly appointed Liaison Officer USAF, attached to the RAF, at Greenham Common......however word of his appointment leaked and locals, assuming Peachfuzz was the code name for nuclear weapons, layed siege to the airbase attracting much unwanted global news coverage. Capt. Peachfuzz fled Greenham Common in the dead of night, taking an F-111, he headed back to America.....however, he became lost in the dark and found himself flying over Tripoli. Aware of his limited fuel, he jettisoned his bombs to lighten the load, these unfortunately landed in Col. Gadaffi's swimming pool, causing further diplomatic incident and earning Capt. Peachfuzz the nickname "Wrongway". In need of a holiday, Capt. Peachfuzz had Intended to board a cruise liner for Southampton and then on to Scandinavia, he made his way to the jetty, finding the boat he boarded and found an empty cabin ....unfortunately he was not wearing his glasses when he read ' Southampton ' on the stern of the ship. Four days later he disembarked, flashing his military I.D he thought would get him through customs quicker. He was promptly arrested, having arrived at Severodvinsk, USSR....his time in Russia is a bit of a mystery. However one of his prized mementoes is a photograph of himself shaking hands with President Gorbachev, rumour has it Capt. Peachfuzz was the chief architect of the fall of the Berlin wall, although he is happy for David Hasselhoff to take credit, preferring to keep his involvement on the QT. It was during my research into the mystery of the Southampton flying boat that I first made contact with Peachfuzz over the internet. We have been in contact ever since and he seemed like the ideal replacement for DVK so I offered him the job......and that's where we are today. Quite where Peachfuzz will fit in is uncertain, he has suggested he could start by doing psychological profiles of all the staff.......I've suggested Tailspin as his first case....this should be interesting....

LOL! Well the good Captain sure is a sartorially "enlightened" character apparently unencumbered by the onerous shackles of an informed fashion sense. Oh, I just remembered that he was just coming in from Russia, probably picked these items up in a GUM bargain basement sale. With his adventurous and er, colorful past...are you sure that the world is ready for Wrongway and Taispin to be in the same room...or...aircraft for that matter? A great laugh, Neil, and a great intro to what I'm sure will be some intriguing adventures.

Oh, my...swallowing hard. Are you SURE this is a good replacement for DVK? But, psychologic profiling of the staff with Tailspin as first "victim", gee, this seems VERY promising of a LOT of fun and adventure! Thanks for the long CV. It augures FUN! Keep up the good work! :-) (Laughter in background. MY laughter, T.Rex is asleep, as is Kitty.)

"Interesting"? This could be pure mayhem - and a delightful romp as well. Fantastic job, especially the wig caught in the helicopter wake.

The guy looks frightenling familar, probably be best not to send him and Tailspin off together on any assignments, no telling where they might end up. Great job, cain't wait for adventures!
