At first glance I feared a wounded mermaid! It looks so golden is the sunny sand! Great find and shot!

I like this - it's sort of like found abstract fiber art that's been weathered by the elements. I have no idea what you mean by "fender" in this context, though - the only fenders I know about are either metal ones on cars or the guitar brand. Is this a British term?

My first thought was that Shirley Temple got a haircut. Very nice work. Your post work makes the sand look like gold dust.

I like the patterns on the top photo and the scattered paw prints from your 'furkids' in the second photo. Two very different POV s of the same subject!

I too didn't know the term "fender" in this context, so looked it up. I assume you mean the fenders that are on the sides of boats? If not, I'm out to sea here (no pun intended). In any case, it makes a very swirly almost metallic image, in your treatment: Gold dust everywhere (sand, I assume), and the strands are like spun metal. Like something out of a fairy tale. Quite a beautiful take on the full pic, which is fascinating in its own right. "Fender" comes from the same root as "fend, defend," etc. This was originally to keep something away, I assume? But in this pic it's like a collection of exotic strands, basking in the sands, after hours...
