Description

Another for the series. I believe it's a Gulf Fritillary, but my ID of Butterflies isn't great. Thanks for looking, hope all are having a good weekend. -Bruce

This is absolutely stunning! Your insect macros are second-to-none and it's shots like this that make me say that! This is absolutely beautiful! I happen to adore insects (with the notable exception of bedbugs, despite their alternating odd stripes) and your images consistently show some of the more flamboyant reasons behind my abiding affection for insects, and one must admit that insects are nothing if not flamboyant...their "fashion sense" is beautifully sublime. This (like so many of your other shots) is marvelous.

Thank you so much my friend, I always love your comments. You are a master of words and I so enjoy your description of my photos. Much appreciated (again). I wish I could hire you to add the description on all my photos.. ;-) Thanks again

After the last shot you put up I though that macros don't get better than that but you have proved me wrong, this one is superb, my only negative is that you should have got the butterfly to shave first.

Amazing how many details, colors and shapes are to admire in your fantastic recording, a pure macro such as I've never seen before, Bruce. I love how it's comes out against the green background. Doesn't matter which kind it is, it's a 'butter-than-good' butterfly. :)
