Description
Captured back on 2/10/09, early am.
Although this appears to be the melted tomato sauce and egg of an omelet, it is actually the extensive discharge of yucky polluted water from a drain pipe off the side of a freeway overpass. I felt you might appreciate it. I have several more pics of it from the file.
And no need to ZOOM, this is as big as it gets.
Have a nice day.

So you didn't throw a pizza against the wall? I love that you noticed and captured an ugly/pretty slice of life.

Rust and ruin; must be some iron in whatever that runoff was. Excellent find and capture, it makes a very good abstract!

I never would have guessed that's what it was. Might have been better to not have known. : ) Excellent capture!

fivecat captured one of the essences of your work, in his/her comment. ("I love that you noticed and captured an ugly/pretty slice of life.") I wouldn't have guessed the source until you told us. It looks like an infrared shot of bacon, or just an abstract digital painting. The white on each side is soft and pillowy---almost like clouds seen from above (ie, from a plane). The red and yellow are very intense---fine work, harry! It's just what it is, a slice of chemically/biologically transformed effluvia, cropped and treated to be a vivid abstract. This would be great huge. It feels huge even at this size. Fine job of rescuing old photos. I love it. (Harry, I'm skipping around, as you can see. I'm here for about an hour ((and will probably drop a comment in a few other galleries when I'm through)). But rather than start where I left off last time, I thought I'd pay homage your many offerings since my last visit, to show you I've seen and enjoyed them all. I'll do more chronologically, next time.)
