If I was young, fit, and had the kit, I should want to explore that closely. Utterly extraordinary.

Some are amazing hiding places, cue: playing 'hide & seek' for kids! - except, I know, I know - but this is no place for kids to play ;(( but the other amazing thing is, what is growing there and getting foothold in the most awkward looking places ;)) on the other hand, great and safe shelter for 'weathering the storms' to pass (?!*#@) stunning vista Mark ! This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the color and the shapes. Nature has a way with...um...exterior design, and it's always so perfect. It's so easy for me to simply wander around this photograph, exploring the things you show us here, as well as the associations they inspire. One such association has to do with what I'm currently reading. CJ Cherryh, one of my favorite authors, wrote a trilogy of novels: Collectively, they're called "The Faded Sun" and individually, each novel bears a title drawn from specific names of significance to the protagonist aliens depicted in the three-novel-tale. This image makes me think of "Kesrith," the first novel. It's the name of a planet, and I wonder if the inspiration for that world came from CJ Cherryh visiting this place, herself. It's likely as she lives out thataway. Anyway, this image makes me think of Kesrith (only with trees). I rather like that association. I absolutely adore this image! I can also imagine a vast number of stories, novels, songs, and poems inspired by visiting such a place, especially since seeing a brilliant photograph of it is quite inspiring as well.
