Happy Birthday AGAIN, Mark!!:)))))) -First, i want to thank you for allow me to draw You and show it here- I loved your photo a LOT!!! Then, i had to give me a try in drawing it. I did this drawing of you, from the screen...and finally i could finish. Not the very best, as i would like, but i wanted to give it to you here and today... I saw in your portrait, a very deep face. Thoughtful, wise but in alert !...Your look shows so much honesty and you are so concentrated but also so tranquil in what you are doing. But whatever that is that you are doing... i can see that you are doing it, with much love also! And YOU spreads luminosity around you !! I hope that i was able to honor the real Mark in this tiny sheet of paper. Wish you a wonderful day, Mark, and a wonderful Spring Season ana Wish to all a wonderful Spring and a good weekend. I agree with everything above, and I'm also in awe of how you capture a soul in a drawing. In this case, it's my soul, and as I've said about your drawings of me, I hope I can be half the person you draw me to be in your beautiful portraits. You bring out the very best in all of us. I know you wanted to do more to this, and you were disappointed you couldn't do more. But the viewers see your amazing ability to capture humanity in every portrait you do, your beautiful way with detail (my beard and hair are drawn so beautifully, and your whites are perfection), your wonderful way with eyes and expression around the eyes, your attention to lips, to the nose, to the surface of one's forehead...you're great at this. Yes I looked concentrated in that photo, I don't know what I was concentrating on, lol, but you caught a very "internal" moment in me, and thank you for seeing love in this (and in me), I appreciate it greatly Ana. This is a loving, embracing portrait, and I thank you deeply for doing it and posting it on my birthday (which I know wasn't easy to do, yesterday). Thank you so much for this and the last upload, they're just beautiful, Ana. Thank you so much.

This is simply amazing! Your work is always elegant and graceful and full of life, and this is all of those things, plus it shows someone I know! I agree that this has soul and life embedded in it, but also a wonderful sense of detail and personality. It's a very loving portrait as well; it's sensitive it has a very soft sense to it. Some portraits seem like they are obsessed with capturing the "reality" of someone; this one goes in a refreshingly different direction and captures the mood of someone, and I think that is so much better, because moods are so much harder to define, so much harder to capture, but so much more fun! This is a brilliant, sensitive piece of work! It's one of my absolute favorites.
