Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  ÂÂ

Thank you very much Dana. I was amazed and very surprised that you would have known or even bothered - its 52 years today !! Your sentiments are very much appreciated and I am afraid that I do not write these things down so wouldn't have a clue for yours or any one else's anniversaries.

My grandfather had a huge bush of these when I was a kid in Southern California; we always called them honeysuckle, and would pull out the stamens and suck the sweet nectar. Probably not the most responsible behaviour, but we didn't know any better back then. I never knew what they were really called. Great capture, Dana!

I am familiar with these plants, (you couldn't really call them flowers ?) - but evergreen shrubs, as you had mentioned, which also look nice as pot-plants ;)) but what a wonderful plant for, this also 'Evergreen couple - Julie & Jeff' - Congratulations to both ! and well done Dana ! BB

What an amazing beautiful photo and flowers, Dana. I does looks (for me although) like a Bougainvillea, but these flowers are more intriguing, and such very special. It's lovely also that you knew about Jeff and Julie, what a wonderful gift for our friends.

Oh, I guess I've seen this plant here as a house plant, but only in a warm and bright place, a winter garden-'house'. :)
