Description
The Valley of Fire State Park is about 50 miles north of Las Vegas. I've been meaning to check it out the last few times I visited but always found something else to do.
This week I finally made the time to drive out and was ever glad. The colors and shapes of the rocks and mountains are breathtaking and I'd timed my visit early enough so the desert temps had not yet dried out the vegetation. More to come.
