Five young men answer the same ad in a local newspaper. They all need a job and are all drawn to this particular ad, promising good pay, travel and a chance to expand their minds. When they call about the job, the voice on the other end instructs them to get on a particular bus at an intersection near their residence at a certain day and time and they will be taken to the site of the interview. On the appointed day, the bus arrives for each one of them promptly as described. They don't seem too worried at first as each of them gets on the bus. They don't pay much attention to the fact they are the only passengers. But once all five are onboard, the bus turns off onto a side road and departs the city. Soon, the city recedes into the distance behind them as they travel down an abandoned looking old road. Each one of them shouts to the bus driver asking him where they are going but he just ignores them all. Finally, the bus pulls along side the road and stops. The driver in a commanding voice instructs them all to get off the bus since this is their destination. He has such power in his voice that none of them resist his orders. Once off the bus, the guys just stare at each other in disbelief. The gravity of the situation begins to dawn on all of them. There is nothing to indicate anyone lives in the area. Nothing but open fields and distant hills. As the bus leaves them, the air begins to shimmer in front of them. Suddenly three solid old oak trees appear out of nowhere. Shock and disbelief passes through all five observers. What is going on? This kind of stuff only happens in the movies, not in real life. Anxiety and fear mount in each of them as they instinctively draw closer together for protection fearing what might happen next. And that is the big question; What will happen next? M4 characters.
