As rising temperatures lure almost everything imaginable from the deep freeze of Winter, I'll post a few clips from a last visit to the lower pond created by my Aunt during our early 1950's. For the next several months, Mother Nature will unleash an assortment of stinging and biting insects, poisonous plants, briars and sweltering heat which will essentially close visitation to one of my favorite relaxation places. Perhaps as an alternate offering, She will unveil a dazzling display of dogwood blossoms, flowering shrubs, tulips, gardenia, and too many others to record. Usually , in life, when one door is closed... so many more are opened.
