Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

LOL Andrea, you have quite a stash, but am guessing the pretty bottles will be worthy to pass along empty. Wonderful shot and post work on this neat looking bottle and contents that will be added to your collection. Sort of reminds me R2D2 from Star Wars.

Simple and elegant design. When you're that good you don't need much else. You show it very well. Excellent post work and presentation as always.

boy you'll never fail to pull me in with your bottle shots, I just love them. Every one of 'm. A great series. The flickr shot is awash in subtle pinks and golds, and it speaks of opulence but also of gentleness. I love it. This, on the other hand, is filled with your edge work, and "waves" of hues pushing into each other. It moves from a greenish world to a yellowish world (right to left) and the hues ]meet the colors of the objects. The box makes a sweet contrast to the bottle next to it; and the top of that box---the small bottle---is like its crown. Love the purple and green, picked up by the colors around and below it. The other side is the big bottle, and you've postworked it into colonies and tectonic plates. (An old joke: What do you put on tectonic plates? Tectonic cups and saucers.) It's divided up and textured, and it sits there like an overfed robot. (Someone said R2D2---nice comparison!) And more of your background, where ground and wall meld together---there is but also isn't a division between them. Well, another complex and beautiful entry into this ever alluring series. I'm telling you, if you made a book of these, I'd buy it. Beautiful work. (And I'm glad you like the scent so much too.) (I'd love it if Turin and Sanchez worked in an old musty office, with huge old cigars---the cheap kind---and god knows what. They should stage that just for the hell of it, grabbing perfumes, taking deep breaths, tossing them on the floor and writing their reviews. Pretty adolescent, I realize, but still I'd love to see it.) You do the perfume proud.

Love the postwork on the main one; I have never finished a bottle of expensive scent. I've only ever used up the cheap ones for some odd reason.

The pictures are great as usual I prefer the second choice, as for the scent it's not for me I prefer compost and rotting cabbage.
