Description
Returned to your galleries the last day or so, and will finish tomorrow.
Always a pleasure.
This is an alley near home. Part of a large series I'm doing...
Thanks so much for coming by!
Have a fine night,

Great bit of high key postwork in this pic, Mark, but please, please, don't tell me this is typical of a Chicago alley. Grunge taken to the farthest or deepest level! All that's missing is Al Capone and his hirelings. Like, how about some renovation! Oh well, you invoked some fine contrasts and effects in this one.

I love the very artistic treatment you've given this shot, Mark; tonal and moody, and texture all over the place! Well done!

Very stark and gritty. This is where Batman stalks for criminal scum at night.

Cool shot! Great composition and style!

Terrific image! And, no litter, amazing. Here in the UK, the filthy man of Europe, it would be waist high. You have made beauty out of a row of industrial bins.

Very very full of feelings that is difficoult to describe Probably linked to a certain remembering way of past

Mark this is a marvelous photo and I am very much looking forward to your series on alleys. And alley is a staple of the big city and says so much about the people within. This alley is a true reflection of your area as despite its age it is so well-kept and pristine.

Lovely stylish capture looks great Mark!!

Looks fantastic. I like, you use sepia on it but you still keep a bit of the colors. It gives an exciting effect and I love the depth here. I agree with Andrea. :)

Fantastic view and capture !!!

Mark, this is garbage! Well, okay, garbage transformed into photographic art. What that blaze of white light in the background reminds me of is the scene in Terminator (or was it Terminator 2?) in which killer cyborg Arnold Schwarzenegger drops in from the future in a flash of light in a dingy alley that looked very much like this. It's possible my memory may be playing tricks on me, but that's the way I remember it...

those garbage container always have a weird color, so your monochrome choice is quite justifiable. Love the way you tream the background light amd vanishing perspective.

Oh, man, this is the kind of alley you see in movies when someone goes down one and you KNOW something really bad is going to happen!! But you give it such a clean, safe look---but no way am I walking in there!!! Super shot and great postwork!!
