Description

From the top of the tower Caleya and NarieFah watched as the Orcs came over the hill. "Your assessment is correct. This is not a hunting party, they are out to make war." Then turning to look at NarieFah, Caleya said, "There will likely be more of these vermin about." NarieFah replied, "I am alone Caleya and there are no other scouts. I have only seem this group but I also believe there will be more." "Very well, we will deal with this group first." Then Caleya took charge and in a command voice said, "Elven Scout, ready your bow. Aim for the leader and I will target the one at the end. Release on my command." For NarieFah this was all very exciting. She was skilled with a bow but, being a scout, had never before been engaged in a battle. She was ready when Caleya gave the command to shoot. The arrows flew and both of them found their targets. When the Orc driver saw what happened he acted quickly and jumped behind the cart. This Orc was not as dumb as most and he must have been carrying a horn, for he was now using one to call for help. NarieFah knew it had to be silenced and was anxiously looking for a shot, but it seemed impossible from this angle. Caleya remained cool and she casually asked, "Elven Scout, do you think you can shoot an arrow under the cart to strike near the drivers feet?" NarieFah was unclear what this would accomplish, but nodded and said, "I can make the shot, but Caleya it is not likely to hit the Orc." Caleya said, "It does not need to hit, take aim but wait for my command." Then she pointed her bow almost straight up and shot an arrow into the sky. It flew a great distance before it arched over and started back down. She waited a little longer and then gave the command to shoot. NarieFah's shot was perfect. The arrow sailed under the cart, between the wheel spokes and struck the ground near the driver's feet. The Orc driver was startled and fell backwards. He was now looking up and it was just in time to see Calyea's arrow coming directly at him. It struck him dead between the eyes. NarieFah was astounded, she thought she was good with a bow but had never before seen anything like this. Caleya was also impressed by NarieFah's skill and was looking at her approvingly. But they had little time to celebrate their victory, for the driver's horn call had done its job and they now heard in the trees grunts and the sound of branches breaking. There were more Orcs coming! And from the sound - a lot of Orcs!

Sure that with so many orcs, the battle wil be very hard for Caleya and NarieFah! Superb decor and pov, the group of orcs is very interesting too, great fantasy image!

Now, they are together, and they are very good archers, but many orcs will come......I like the POV, the poses and the environment, and the group of orcs is very well done too, outstanding work for the image and the story !

Great viewpoint to show the attack. They are down to just a few arrows apiece and it seems the woods are full of Orks. It will be intriguing to see how the elves carry out their battle. Narie would have to be incredibly talented archer to shoot from such an awkward position - no wonder Caleya is impressed.

At the moment, the two are in a better position than the orcs. But if there are too many ........? A superb scene. Fantastic poses, landscape, mood and light. Outstanding work!
