Description
I only get to see the Pine Siskins during spring and fall migrations. So to take advantage of their brief presence, I got some shots of them coming in for a drink of water.
Half a dozen shots of the same action would get boring, so I put them all together. Only the central bird just leaving the birdbath is the original shot. I added the other three in postwork.
Siskins are small finches and look similar to the female House Finch but have more stripes along the chest and stomach. And some love yellow bits as well, but the Pine Siskin is much more drab than the European Siskin.
Try zoom for detail. And thanks very much for your recent views and comments.

WOW! I am impressed. I would never have guessed you added some of them to the picture. Superbly done, Maria :-)

Fantastic work! I'm wondering if the baby I saw at my feeder last week was one of these; it had a yellow stripe on its tail, but was downy on the chest, and had the generic stripey/mottled colour of many baby birds. Such a sweet little thing, very trusting and let me come right up to it, but of course I didn't have my camera in hand at the time.

Terrific composite of the Pine Siskins, a species I never even heard of, in this great image, Maria. You show them at various angles as they appear to be hovering about the fountain.
