Description
Captured 4/15/15 @ 7:49 am, about a quarter of a mile from home.
Lots and lots of broken pavement within the vast perimeter of the city.
Have a nice day.

Fantastic shots of the evidence of ground settling; you should see the cracks in my driveway! They've got so big that it's like steps now. I like the pattern that the cracking takes here as it travels across the concrete, there's something so organic about it.

It's criminal that this has but 3 comments! I jumped the minute you posted it. Two very strong captures of texture and yet smoothness---these two slabs are wonderfully smooth even though they have a tectonic crack down their middles. And of striation---the straight lines in the slabs are wonderful, with a goodly amount of soiling and mold, maybe? (esp in the second) to give them life. And wonderful deep dark cracks. If we didn't see "sidewalk" here (or walkway of some kind), one might think this is an aerial view of a major fault line. Very minimal---no doubt why it doesn't engender lots of replies---and pure and beautiful. Very few people do this type of photography the way you do, and I love it. Even the non-zoomed version is terrific (and I always zoom!) Love it.
