Description

I'm still finishing a dedi...I was interrupted so many times this weekend, I couldn't finish a thing. I hope tomorrow... Also, I still have a few galleries to go. I'll do them tomorrow too. In the meantime, I need to share a little more art just to feel connected. This is an old fog shot. Hope you enjoy... Thanks so much for your always caring presence: I appreciate it all. A fine week to you all, Mark (It's much better zoomed...)

Mark, this is stunning; high-key and pastel, with a feeling of weekend solitude in a place that's not used to it. The line of repeating pilings leading off to the city profile and the ship makes lots of interest. This would look great huge on the wall, so much to see and get lost in...well done!!!!

Wow, so much going on here; it's hard to know what to see first. Of course, the water is right in your face, but then you have that almost pink in the background, with the city filling in the rest of the shot. LOVEthis!

Strangely hypnotising! That ship makes me realise how very unreasonably tall those buildings are.

Mark, this is an amazing photo that is absolutely breathtaking in its scope. I love the beautiful colors on display from the waters, beach, and even the posts.

Aw! what a lovely shot. So peaceful like a misty morning before everybody woke up. Wonder what these piles are made for. They give a great perspective :-) Love the pale colors here.

Basically, what MrsRatbag said, in her own lavish style. The repetition of those equally spaced vertical objects (pilings?) into the mist gives it a great sense of depth. The overall image, with its quasi dreamy effect, seems right out of a futuristic film. Smashing, old chap!

WOW! This is one of those make-you-stop-in-your-tracks shots that I love so much. The fog is such a presence here, but it's also so light and diaphanous. The colors are positively amazing and the overall mood is really appealing to me. It's pure, visual poetry, and from the point of view of a writer, it's something that I strive to capture in words: not as easy a prospect as one might think, since most words have attention deficit disorder and don't really play well with others, no matter what those language teacher sorts of people tell you. But anyway, back to this: I love it; you have such an eye for photography (as well as any other form of art, even the forms where eyes aren't required.) This is making a trip into my favorites, especially since there's so much to love in this; those pilings (they are pilings, aren't they?) add such a wonderfully cryptic element to this already brilliant photo. I love this!

A lovely shot. Fog always gives things such a nice gausian blur, which I love. I like the pastel cast to everything and those posts remind me of a separate city in the water.
