Description

She laid these yesterday and they should be incubated for 12-15 days before hatching on schedule for the maximum amount of baby food to be ready! In the box on my pergola which is used every year.

With your furry children about she certainly doesn't lack for nesting material. It must be a wonderful experience to be able to witness this. A terrific capture of this nursery in waiting.

Wow! You are so lucky! How wonderful! That's a lot of eggs! Did you leave some nesting material for her or prepare the box? Or did Mama do this all by herself? Looks soft, like dog hair. Hope you'll post updates. What a wonderful opportunity to witness nature - great shot Andrea!

I empty the boxes in the winter and they make new nests from scratch. I do supply dog hair in abundance and variety, in a handy cage nearby.

Eight eggs seems to be a lot for one nest - an outstanding capture! Looking forward for seeing the newly hatched chicks!
